New staff and Departure Staff

New staff members in Office 

When you have a new staff member, volunteer or board member in your office, you follow this process in order to give them access to AFS Systems:

A) Access to the AFS Directory
1. Create a new person in the AFS Directory: please refer to this document 
2. Add them to the necessary groups  (IOC.staff  or IOC.board or other local groups): please refer to this document 
3. Create User ID and give them access rights to access various AFS Directory sections : please refer to this document 
4. Activate a Google Apps account to give the user a Google App mailbox: please refer to this document 

B) Access to AFS Global
1. Add the person in AFS Global: please refer to this document 
2. Add an affiliation and access rights to AFS Globalplease refer to this document OR
3. Create an affiliation and give access rights: please refer to this document

When staff leaves

When your staff, volunteers or board members depart, you should do the following in order to remove them from the AFS Systems:

1. Deactivate their AFS Global account by disabling their account and inactivating their affiliation: please refer to this document 
2. Remove them from the AFS Directory: please refer to this document
